(1897-) |
Robert Mann Innes
General Notes: Robert was a Gordon Highlander and was in France by November 1914. He did not get on with his Dad and ran away to the army. He was allowed in although he was only 16. He was shot in the shoulder and sent back, had his left knee smashed and he was sent back as a Pioneer. He lost an eye (he says it was due to disease) and they then let him go home. He went back to live in the slums of Glasgow and married Mary Miller. Robert married Mary Miller, daughter of Frederick Miller and Mary Lennon. (Mary Miller was born in 1901 in Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland.) |
