Jane married John Russell, son of John Russell and Jane Fairley, on 28 Aug 1884 in 121 Kennedy St, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland. (John Russell was born circa 1862.)

bullet  Marriage Notes:

The ceremonywas conducted under a "Warrant of Sherriff Substitute of Lanarkshire dated August 28th 1884". According to the Cetificate this denotes an "irregular" marriage as opposed to a "regular" marriage performed by a Minister. It was not a church wedding, they were married "by declaration in presence of Robert Gardiner, Plumber (journeyman) residing at 39 North Oswald Street, Glasgow and Elizabeth Gardiner or McLuskie residing at 8 Mathieson Road there."
