  General Notes:

In 1903 he and Maggie were living at Sunnyside in Gippsland. John was a miner. There are a number of other Lucas people here, including John and Rose his parents. By 1914 they were living at Balnarring on the Mornington Peninsula, John was a labourer and Maggie a post mistress. In 1919, they were at 3 Glandfield St, Northcote. John was a labourer, and Maggie home duties. Living with them also was daughter Nellie, home duties. By 1924 John, labourer, and Maggie, home duties, were at 111 Scotchmer St, Fitroy North by themselves.

In 1931 & 1936 he was living at 8 Barkly St, North Fitzroy, occupation Labourer. Living here also were his wife, Maggie Clyde, home duties and daughter Elizabeth Ann Jane, occupation sales. In 1942 and 1949 John, still a labourer, and Maggie were still at 8 Barkly St but on their own.
