James married Janet Brown, daughter of William Brown ** and Elizabeth Forsyth **, on 16 Jan 1858 in Whitburn, Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland. (Janet Brown was born on 5 Dec 1835 in Shotts Iron Works, Shotts, Lanark, Scotland, died on 29 Mar 1919 and was buried in Whitburn Cemetery, Whitburn, West Lothian, Scotland.) Marriage Notes: It was a Free Church of Scotland Ceremony. Witnesses were John Hair and Margaret Brown. |
