bullet  General Notes:

Thomas was convicted at age 17 of Stealing in a Dwelling at the York Assizes on 9 March 1816 and sentence to transportation for Life. He was received on the Prison Hulk Leviathan on 7 June 1816 before being sent to Sydney on the Fame arriving 8 March 1817. He was a native of York, and a Labourer. He was described as 5' 7" tall with a dark complexion and brown hair and eyes.

He was assigned to Thomas Whitfield at Parramatta as a brickmaker. There is a record of Thomas Barnes reporting Whitfield to the Governor as he had defaulted in paying Barnes.

He received his Ticket of Leave in 1832 and a Conditional Pardon in 1839.
