bullet  General Notes:

Henry came to Australia as an Assisted Immigrant on the Royal George in November 1849 with his family. He was 16 years of age. Also on the voyage was Henry, aged 45, Jane 47 (his parents), Ann, 21, Jane 15, Jane 14, John 12, William 10, Martha 8, and Mary 7.

He signed his name on son Henry's Birth certificate so he was literate.

His son, Henry, was a Labourer and living with his parents in Wellington St, Kerang when he died at the age of 25. He left an estate valued at 203/10/0 comprising entirely a life insurance policy with the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society Limited. On the 10th May 1888 his father, Henry, was granted Probate and deemed to be "the only person entitled to said estate on distribution".

He is buried in the Fawner Cemetery along with a John Johnson who was buried 18 Sep 1918. The relationship between these two is presently unknown. There is no headstone and no grave structure, just bare earth. The location of the grave is quite close to that for his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and John Jones.

bullet  Medical Notes:

The informant on his death certificate was his son-in-law John Jones with whom he was living at the time.
