General Notes:
His parents names are recorded on his death certificate and there are records of their marriage and other children's births but I can't find a record of peter's birth.
At the time of the 1841 census he was recorded as aged 30 and an Agricultural labourer at Blackfall, Whitburn. He was born in the county. The head of the household appears to be John Wilson, 60, a farmer born in the county. This is presumed to be his father-in-law. Living here also were wife, named as Jean, 25, and children Agnes,10; James, 7;Janet, 5; John, 1 and "N.K>" (presumably "not known"), 3 days old.
Peter married Jane Wilson, daughter of John Wilson and Unknown. (Jane Wilson was born circa 1816 in West Lothian, Scotland and died after 22 Feb 1866.)
