General Notes:
Jean Baptiste was an enfant naturel, or illegitimate.
In 1866 he and Marie were living in Froiedefontaine. he was 27, Marie was 26 and they had children Charles 4 months, Antoine, 2, and Marie 6. I can't locate them in the 1872 Census at Froiedefontaine.
In 1906 he and Marie were living in Danjoutin. He was born in 1837 in Belfahy and a "Journalier". Marie was born in 1835 in Bas-Evette. Their recently-divorced daughter Emilie was living in the same house with her young son Charles. Curiously another family was in the house also. This was Emile Mury b. 1881, his wife Celine nee Marcomot (naybe Marconnot) b. 1884 in Danjoutin and their son Emile b. 1906 also in Danjoutin. This family is curious as on the next page of the Census is living another Marcomot family headed by Adolphe b. 1852 and his wife Julie nee CARDOT b. 1857 in Froidefontaine. This seems beyond coincidental but I have not yet established who this Julie Cardo is. Certainly Celine ne Marconnot living with Jean-Baptiste and Marie is the right age to be the eldest daughter of Adolphe and Julie.
Jean-Baptiste married Marie-Thérèse Gaumé, daughter of Jean Jacques Gaumé and Marie-Thérèse Besanceney, on 14 Jul 1859 in Giromagny, , Franche-Comté, France. (Marie-Thérèse Gaumé was born on 11 Aug 1835 in Évette, , Franche-Comté, France and died aft census 1906.)
