Joseph Fullerton

   Cause of his death was Old Age/Bronchitis.

  General Notes:

His death record records his parents as Joseph Fullerton and Agnes Simpson. This was provided by his son, Joseph. However his marriage record in Ireland records his father as Robert Fullerton. It's possible that Joseph Jnr never met his grandparents back in Ireland and was confused about their names. I have assumed at this stage that The marriage record is correct at Robert and that it was in fact Robert Fullerton who married Ellen (not Agnes) Simpson. A DNA connection with a descendant would tend to support this.

In the 1871 Census he records his age as 35 placing his borth year around 1836. His occupation was recorded as a Mason's Labourer.

He made his mark on his wife's death record suggesting that the couldn't write.

At the time of the 1901 Census he was living with son Joseph and his family.

• He resided at the time of the 1871 Census in 1871 in 31 Newton St,Glasgow,Scotland.

Joseph married Margaret Miller, daughter of William Miller and Eliza Love, on 3 May 1861 in Killyman Parish Church, , Tyrone, Northern Ireland. (Margaret Miller was born circa 1840 in Ireland and died on 14 Jul 1888 in 3 Newton St, Glasgow, Scotland.). The cause of her death was Apoplexy 10 days.
