On their marriage record, Robert was of the Parish of Larbert, Isobel appears to have been from the Parish of St Ninians. There appear to be a number of RICHARDSONs from St Ninians (she was named as Richardson on son Robert's birth record), including a number of Isobel's (or variants). One was born Isobell Richardson on 12 Feb 1745 to James Richardson and Isobell Taylor.

On Alexander's birth record there is also a record of a Walter Ritchison born to Walter Ritchison and Agnes Gib on Nov 13. May be related to Isobel.

Isobel married Robert Laird, son of Alexander Laird ** and Agnes McLuckie **, on 25 Dec 1767 in Larbert, Stirling, Scotland. (Robert Laird was born in 1747 in Stirling, Scotland and was christened on 26 Apr 1747 in St John Street Associate Session, Stirling, Stirling, Scotland.)
