bullet  General Notes:

Her name on David & Thomas' Death Certificates appears as MOHLEY and MALAU, but they are difficult to read. The first letter does appear to be convincingly "M". The name MALOH features in some historical Mallow documents. However, the most authoritative document is son Thomas' baptism register entry where her name is clearly written as "Eliza Mohilly". Again the first letter appears convincingly "M". A review of the Catholic Parish Registers around 1820-1828 reveals a few other incidences of the Mohilly name, but not a lot. At this stage I have assumed they are siblings of of Eliza. Interestingly, a review of the registers and the handwriting of the Priest, Thomas Barry, suggests the surname might be ROHILLY rather than MOHILLY, at least in the earlier years.

There is a record of the death of Elizabeth Keleher in 1877 at St Leonards in Sydney. However, she was only 29 years old. Her parents were John James Keleher and Mary Jane Lane, and she was born in Armagh, Ireland. Apparently unmarried and no marriage details are provided on her death certificate (and that's consistent with her surname being Keleher).

Eliza married Michael Keleher **, son of Timothy Kelleher and Susanna Wilkinson, about 1820 in Mallow, Cork, Munster, Ireland. (Michael Keleher ** was born circa 1791-1797 in Mallow, Cork, Munster, Ireland and was buried on 22 Sep 1855 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.)

bullet  Marriage Notes:

The priest was Father Jones.
