Margaret Reilly **

   Other names for Margaret were Maggie Conly and Margaret Riley.

  General Notes:

At the time of the 1880 US Census "Maggie Conly" was living with her son-in-law Philip Mulcahy and daughter Mary in Washington Township, Johnson, Iowa. Philip was a Farmer, aged 58, born in Wales. Both his parents were born in Ireland. His age is slightly inconsistent with the birth year on his headstone (1822 vs 1828) so I'm not sure which is correct. Wife Mary is aged 29, Keeping house, both parents born in Ireland. Living with them are children: Patrick, 11, working on the farm; Maggie, 10; Mary E., 7; Philip,6: John, 4; and Ann 9/12. Also living with them was Philip's brother David, 50, born in Wales and Mary's mother, Maggie "Conly", aged 72, widowed, born in Ireland as were both her parents.

Mary arrived in the US in 1868, it's possible that's when Margaret arrived too.

Her death date has been cited by US researchers but no evidence has been found to date.

Margaret married John Connelly ** in prob Kingscourt, Cavan, Ulster, Ireland. (John Connelly ** was born circa 1808 in poss Kingscourt, Cavan, Ulster, Ireland and died before 1880.)
