Elizabeth was 48, born Shotts. Living with them were their children Agnes, 18, a Pithead Assistant, born Shotts; Margaret, 14, a Scholar, born Shotts; John, 12, "at home", born Polmont, Stirling, he is marked as being either blind or deaf and dumb; Alexander, 10, Scholar, born Camnsethan, Lanark; Robert, 8, Scholar, born Shotts; James, 6, Scholar, born Shotts.
