bullet  General Notes:

Faye Clark in her excellent book on the Sole Family, From the Marshes to the Mountain, speculates that this child may in fact have been Susan Mary O'Sullivan, daughter of Thomas Denis O'Sullivan and Susannah Sole. This is not the case as Susan Mary O'Sullivan married Alexander Graham and lived and died in Australia. However, there is no record to be found of Susan Mary Sole's birth in NSW, Australia, although her sister Sarah has a birth record there. Susan was probably named after her Aunt Susannah Mary O'Sullivan who lost her daughter just six days before Susan Mary's (presumed) birth, her sister Sarah Ellen apparently being named after the deceased child.
