The only Janet Watsone (and variants) born between 1650-1676 in East Lothian was the one born to James and Helen.
Witnesses at her son John's baptism were Georg [sic] Watson elder and Georg Watson younger, salters. A Georg(e) Watson was regularly a witness at the children's baptisms. There are 3 George(e) Watsones born in East Lothian up to 1670 - Georg, 1614 in Tranent (parents names unknown), George, 1617 in Prestonpans to Johne Watsone and Marion Fall, and George, 1643 in Tranent to Williame Watsone and Heleine Brooke. Both of the latter appear to be only children to these parents.

John Durkie Salter and Janet Watsone both in this paroch declared [?] purpose of marriag [sic] on Saturday the 19th to be proclaimed publickly on Sunday the 20th of August 1693. Before [?] witnesses Georg Watsone and John Stevenson and accordingly consigned two log? dollars of penalties; and were married on Tuesday the tenth day of October 1693 By Mr Wm. Russell of Slippersfield Mine at Morham and gets up [?] [??] again on Monday the 30th July 1694 by Robert Jamesone who consigned them.
