John William Tobias
John, who was commonly referred to as Will, was the Mining registrar in Harrietville for a short time in 1897, and then again later in 1898 until 1901 at least. He was the Postmaster in Harrietville until 1902. He later moved to Ballarat.
John married Lizzie Edith Curthoys, daughter of Joseph Curthoys and Eliza Lancaster. |
Another name for John was Will Tobias.
