bullet  General Notes:

Stephen enlisted in the AIF on 9 August 1918, one month short of his 18th birthday. It appears he lied about his age on the enlistment form by one year. At the time he was a Labourer living in Adam St, Narrandera. He was 5'5" tall, 136lbs, dark complexion, blue eyes and brown hair. There are no further records after his enlistment. This is either because, with the War being almost over, it was not progressed, or because it appears that his true date of birth was revealed at some stage (1900, not 1899) and it was not progressed.
