General Notes: At the time of her marriage to Edward it is beleived she had been living in Wanganui for about 4 years. Noted events in her life were: • She emigrated to NZ from England about 1856. Sarah married Edward Sole **, son of Edward Sole ** and Susannah Gore **, on 24 Mar 1859 in Christ Church, Wanganui, New Zealand. (Edward Sole ** was born on 15 Mar 1830 in Saint Nicholas at Wade, Kent, England, christened on 18 Apr 1830 in Saint Nicholas at Wade, Kent, England, died on 26 Feb 1868 in Hua, Taranaki, New Zealand and was buried on 27 Feb 1868 in Henui, Taranaki, NewZealand.). The cause of his death was Killed by a falling tree branch. Sarah next married David Smith on 21 Jun 1873 in Church of St Augustine, Waimate, New Zealand. (David Smith was born about 1833 and died before 1896.) Marriage Notes: Witnesses were James More (?) and Robert Smith, both brickmakers of Waimate. Robert may have been related to David? |
