Thomas Martin

  General Notes:

Thomas was the Manager of the Rose Thistle & Shamrock mine from about 1905 to 1914/15. As a young man he was selected by Mr Gitchell of the Bright Shire Council to go to India and report on mining projects there. Later he was connected with the Long Tunnel mine at Walhalla. His son Thomas was born there in 1888.

Thomas married Eliza Curtis, daughter of Thomas Curtis and Emma Potter, on 9 Apr 1887 in Walhalla, , Victoria, Australia. (Eliza Curtis was born about 1867 in Morses Creek now, Bright, , Victoria, Australia and died in 1944 in Victoria, Australia.)
