Margaret Fairweather (1799-1880) |
Margaret Fairweather
Cause of her death was Senile Decay. General Notes: A www.familysearch.org entry suggests that she was born in Fetteresso in 1798. The 1841 Census records that she was 40 years old and born in the County when she was living in Fetteresso. But, both the 1861 & 1871 Census records list her birthplace as Aberdeen. She is aged 60 and 70 respectively in these documents. The 1851 Census records her age as 49 and her birthplace specifically as Old Machar, Aberdeen and from this I have discovered a birth record for a Margt Fairweather born 12 Feb 1799 to Jas Fairweather, no mother listed. This would seem to be our Margaret. Medical Notes: Her Death Certificate is hard to read. All I can make out about the place of death was xxxxxwayside, Tollcross. Tollcross is a suburb of Glasgow, north of the River Clyde. Margaret married William Napier ***, son of John Napier and Isabel Smith, in 1819 in Fetteresso, Kincardine, Scotland. (William Napier *** was born in 1791, christened on 1 Jan 1792 in Kinneff & Catterline Parish, Kincardine, Scotland and died on 30 Nov 1861 in 28 1/2 Parliamentary Rd, Glasgow, , Lanark, Scotland.). The cause of his death was Bronchitis, years/ Fever, 16 days. Marriage Notes: Cannot find a record of their marriage at Scotlandspeople.gov.org |
