Robert Fullerton ***

  General Notes:

There is a record of a Samuel Fullerton as the tenant of a property in Moyroe Townland. Whether he is related to our Fullertons is currently unknown. His occupation is described as "a weaver". He was 5' 51/4" tall, fair complexion, grey eyes, brown hair. It is not clear if this is the same Robert but it may be - the occupation is the same, the birthplace, but the age is a little out as our Robert would have been aged just 14 then.

Several DNA connections support the existence of the children.

• He worked as a Weaver at the time of son John's marriage on 10 Sep 1845.

Robert married Ellen Simpson ***, daughter of John Simpson and Susanna Unknown, on 25 Mar 1817 in Episcopal Church of Ireland, Killyman, Tyrone, Ireland. (Ellen Simpson *** was born in 1796 in Ireland and was christened on 3 Dec 1796 in Killyman Parish Church, , Tyrone, Northern Ireland.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage record shows her name as Elizabeth Simpson but it is very likely this was an error by the Clergyman, not uncommon at the time. There are no records for a marriage between a John & Eleanor, and there are no records of children born to a John & Elizabeth.
