His daughter Lucy was married in New Lenton, Nottinghamshire, which was famous for it's Lace. He was a Lace worker and living in Lenton in 1851 with his wife and Lucy.
In 1861 he and Mary were living alone in Lenton, John was a Card Puncher and Luch a Lace Mender. it is clearly them as the ages and birthplaces on the Census document match.

• He resided at the time of the Census in 1851 in 129 Park St, Lenton, , Nottingham, England.

John married Mary Clark on 13 Jun 1825 in Kirkby Cum Osgodby, Lincoln, England. (Mary Clark was born circa 1797 in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England and died after 1861.)
