Eleanor H Cowie
Cause of her death was Acute Bronchitis, 3 days. General Notes: Her father is incorrectly named as William on her death certificate. And his occupation incorrectly recorded as "Thatcher". The informant was Eleanor's daughter Janet - she may have been confused as Eleanor's husband James' father was a "slater" by occupation. Noted events in her life were: • She worked as a Servant at the time of her marriage on 3 Dec 1858. Eleanor married James Thomson, son of James Thomson and Marion McMillan, on 3 Dec 1858 in Abbey Green, Lesmahagow, Lanark, Scotland. (James Thomson was born circa 1836 and died before 25 Apr 1907.) Marriage Notes: It was a Church of Scotland ceremony. Witnesses were James Lynch and James Frame - her 1/2 sister Margaret's husband. |
