His marriage record says he was from Forgan parish (where their children were subsequently born) and Janet was from Ferry Port on Craig.

Agnes' baptism record records that he was located "in the new port" when she was baptised.

There is a burial record for a Robert Heggie in Kilmany parish in 1762. It's not clear if this is he.
