There are records of BAAD family members in Larbert but I cant find a record for Mary. Her daughter-in-law (son John's wife), Margaret Simpson's birth record in 1757 is preceded by a record for the birth of a Lillias BAAD, son of James and Christina Flemine. One of the witnesses for Lillias' birth was John BAAD. It's possible the name is a variant of Baird.
