Elizabeth married James Marshall, son of James Marshall and Unknown Cairns, on 11 Dec 1857 in Carnbrae, Bothwell, , Lanark, Scotland. (James Marshall was born about 1835 and died after 20 Nov 1874.) Marriage Notes: It was a United Presbyterian Church ceremony. Witnesses were James Witherspoon, Engine Keeper and John Allan, Coaler. There is a notation in the Occupation section saying "Both young persons" which is unusual as it usually denotes marital status e.g Bachelor, Spinster. |
