The two surviving daughters of Patrick and Catherine Durnan, Mary and Annie were well known throughout the District as skilled (and daring) horsewomen who rode side-saddle and deemed it easier to put a horse over a gate than "waste time" by opening it. Mary married Edmund Sullivan and Annie married Dick Barrat.

Mary married Edmund John O'Sullivan, son of Thomas Denis O'Sullivan ** and Susannah Mary Sole **, on 17 Mar 1913 in St Mels Catholic Church, Narrandera, New South Wales, Australia. (Edmund John O'Sullivan was born on 27 Jan 1890 in Narrandera,,New South Wales,Australia, died on 8 Aug 1957 in Larmer St, Narrandera, , New South Wales, Australia and was buried on 10 Aug 1957 in Narrandera Cemetery, Old R/C Section A, Narrandera, New South Wales, Australia.). The cause of his death was Coronary Occlusion - hours/Myocardial degeneration - years.
