Cause of her death was Senility. Other names for Eleanor were Helen and Ellen Fullerton. General Notes: There is both a Church record and a Civil record of her marriage with George. The Civil record records that George was a Gamekeeper, aged 22, address as Derrycar, and that he was a Bachelor. His father is named as William, a Labourer. Eleanor is named as Ellen, aged 22, living at Tullyroan and a Spinster. Her father is named as John, a Labourer. Witnesses were Alfred Hickie and James Mills. Her age at 22 would be incorrect as she was in fact 19. This may have been to avoid the requirement of parental permission prior to attainment of the "full age" of 21 (which she is stated to have attained on the document). The Church wedding took place in the Killyman Church of Ireland. Medical Notes: The informant was George Hill, son. Noted events in her life were: • She resided at the time of the Census in 1881 in 18 North St, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland. • She resided at the time of the Census on 5 Apr 1891 in 2 Parson St, Glasgow, , Lanark, Scotland. • She resided at the time of her second marriage on 3 Mar 1911 in 3 Parliamentary Rd, Glasgow, , Lanark, Scotland. • She worked as a Self Employed Washer Woman a the time of the Census on 5 Apr 1891 in Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland. Eleanor married George Hill, son of William Hill and Ann Hughes, on 6 Dec 1870 in Killyman Parish Church, , Tyrone, Northern Ireland. (George Hill was born circa 1848 in Ireland and died on 1 May 1906 in 2 Parson St, Glasgow, , Lanark, Scotland.). The cause of his death was Cardiac Failure 14 days. Marriage Notes: It was a United Church of England and Ireland ceremony. Witnesses were Alfred Hickin and James Mills. Eleanor next married Robert Miller, son of John Miller and Margaret Hutchison, on 3 Mar 1911 in 3 Parliamentary Rd, Glasgow, , Lanark, Scotland. (Robert Miller was born about 1855 in Ireland and died on 20 Dec 1930 in 3 Parliamentary Rd, Glasgow, , Lanark, Scotland.) Marriage Notes: It was a United Free Church of Scotland ceremony. Witnesses were William Miller & Jane Miller. Thomas Wyper and Maggie Miller witnessed Ellen making her mark. |
