General Notes: At the time of the 1841 Census he was living at Fauldhouse in Whitburn, West Lothian, Scotland. He was aged 55 a Grocer and born in the County. Living with his was his wife Catharine aged 45 and children Thomas, aged 20 an Iron Miner, John aged 15 an Iron Miner, William aged 12, all born in the County. Noted events in his life were: • He worked as a Grocer at the time of the Census in 1841 in Whitburn, Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland. James married Catharine Thomson, daughter of Thomas Thomson and Catharine Stoba, on 5 Nov 1802 in Cambusnethan, Lanark, Scotland. (Catharine Thomson was born circa 1782 in West Lothian, Scotland, died on 9 Feb 1858 in Drybridge, Whitburn, Linlithgow, , West Lothian, Scotland and was buried in Whitburn Churchyard, Whitburn, Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland.). The cause of her death was Diahorrea 5 days. |
