George Ernest Barnes

  General Notes:

George and Albert Barnes went to World War I, together and were hit by t he same shell and returned to England together from France.
After coming back from the War, George couldn't settle down and did odd jo bs around the farms. He later went back to teaching.

George married Ethel Mary Cowie on 6 Jan 1921 in St Pauls Manse Wanganuii, New Zealand. (Ethel Mary Cowie was born on 30 May 1896 in Makino, Fielding, New Zealand and died on 4 Apr 1995 in Bell Block, New Plymouth, , Taranaki, New Zealand.)
