At the time of the 1841 Census Jannet [sic] was living in St Cuthbert's Edinburgh with her husband Philip and thir family. Philip was aged 35, an Upholsterer. Jannet was recorded as aged 35; son Philip aged 14; daughter Jessie, aged 10; son Florent aged 7; daughter Agnes aged 1; and Agnes Jones, aged 25, occupation F.S. (Farm Servant?). All of them were recorded as born in the County. Agnes Jones is probably Janet's sister although the age doesn't quite match (but nor does Janet's).
